Watchionary
Here are a few terms, definitions and explanations that might come in handy:
SWISS CASE:
casing that is similar to that of the Swiss-Grade watch. casing is more solid, heavier with better finishing and makes your watch look like the real deal
21-Jewels Miyota/Japanese Engine:
these are full-fledged Japanese engines (not Chinese grade engines that break down after a few days). Reliable, durable and definitely worth the money you pay. One of the better engines around.
AUTOMATIC or QUARTZ (battery):
basically, for non-swiss watches, the general rule is if the watch is stated as AUTOMATIC the chrono/stopwatch doesn't work. the pusher buttons controls the subdials. there are usually 3 subdials which tells 24-hours, day, date or day of the week.
for QUARTZ, most of the watches for guys comes with QUARTZ CHRONOGRAPH which means it comes with stopwatch function. to activate the stopwatch, click the pusher button at 2 to start the stopwatch, press it again to stop the stopwatch. Press the pusher button at 4 to reset the stopwatch.
*Non-Swiss watches DO NOT come with AUTOMATIC CHRONOGRAPH. It is either only AUTOMATIC or QUARTZ (CHRONOGRAPH)
